Out of order but I'm trying to shake things up a little bit. See the comments for a couple before photos. This 1961 VM built #Zenith Cobra came in for some general maintenance. Quite dirty, and although generally functioning, some of the parts were getting sticky. Customer said it would drop the record but not index. Running it before cleaning, I didn't find that to be the case so shipping may have jostled that. Anyway, everything cleaned and freshly lubricated. Gave it quite a cosmetic cleaning

(Yes, I know the record is off-center and there's some rumble. You get that when it's not on the springs and the baseplate decides to resonate sometimes, then the phone and upload compression make it sound worse. It was acceptable in person). This good looking mid 60s #Zenith came in dirty and missing the platter mat although it still had one of the trim rings. The white tonearm suggests it had a white mat originally, but we replaced it with light gray. Acted upon. Cartridge pivot spring altered

#Zenith Pro'. We went from doing two of these a year or two having them in on a regular basis. This one required a complete disassembly of the speed control and drive system. Sticky grease syndrome. Rubber grommets that support the platter were also toast. Somebody replaced the needle at some point and the cartridge is working well, so all good in that department. These can sometimes be picky about going into automatic mode. Spent an hour on that. Yes, I know the trim ring is bent. Didn't really

Cute Little base model VM for Zenith. I don't think I've ever seen one with the 10 inch platter before. Standard list of things to get it up and running, AC switch was shot, idler, and we put a new cartridge in it. Before anybody says anything, no these late model all plastic pivoting cartridges are no longer available. All of the controls were unusually sticky so we used some super lube synthetic grease on those. They all work nice and smoothly now. #console #vinylrecords #Zenith #VM #Tetrad #t

Really cool #Zenith needed a few things to get up and running. A previous "service" was lacking in any real… um, service. Came in for cartridge work but found much of the grease starting to go hard, and of course we always give a full cleaning and service. Just awaiting a new balance arm to determine which one looks better. The original snapped and we have a choice between the same style in brown or the deluxe chrome tubular version. Both would look great on it, both are on the way. #stereo #tur
