Objects with regular geometric surface patterns have been reported from sedimentary rock deposits in Russia, including reports from the Ural and Siberian regions. The surrounding rock matrix in documented cases dates to Permian or older geological periods, 250 million years or more. No peer-reviewed geological explanation for the regular geometric patterns has been published. The objects have not been officially catalogued by Russian geological institutions in accessible records. The question is
