A song well known to everyone from the Wizard of Oz', that speaks to young and old alike, always bringing with it a universe of hope and optimism against a backdrop of yearning. Yet it almost didn’t make it into the final cut. MGM had originally considered the opening Kansas sequence too long and that it slowed the pace. Thankfully, it was later reinstated.
