【#日日健康】中大全球首證免疫細胞啟動心臟再生機制 望研發新療法助心肌修復 心血管疾病長年被視為全球頭號殺手,更是本港主要致命疾病之一。香港中文大學(中大)醫學院經過六年研究,在全球首次揭示人體免疫系統中的「CD4 Treg細胞」(CD4 FOXP3 調節性T細胞),具備精準調控心臟再生的能力。研究團隊發現該細胞能透過一種關鍵蛋白「MRG15」促進心肌細胞修復,有望為心肌梗塞及心臟衰竭患者,帶來突破性的治療新曙光。有關研究結果已於國際頂尖心血管期刊《Circulation》發表。 📌本港每6宗死亡個案 1宗涉心血管病 心臟作為人體核心器官,其自我修復能力一直備受醫學界關注。數據顯示,心血管疾病每年導致全球近二千萬人死亡;在中國內地,相關疾病佔死亡個案近五成。至於本港,根據醫務衞生局數據,每六宗死亡個案中便有一宗與心血管疾病或中風相關,反映問題極為嚴峻。 目前的臨床治療手段如俗稱「通波仔」的冠狀動脈介入治療,主要作用是恢復血流供應及延緩病情惡化,防止心肌進一步壞死,卻無法令已受損的心肌「起死回生」。事實上,成年人的心肌細胞受損後無法再生,反觀初生嬰兒的心臟即使受損,仍短暫保有顯著的修復
