More than half of the NFL's 14 playoff spots were clinched in Week 16. Four spots in the NFC were clinched by the Seahawks, Eagles, Bears and 49ers. Over in the AFC, the Patriots clinched on Sunday night. Then, with the Colts' loss on Monday night, the Jaguars, Chargers and Bills all clinched a spot.

The NFL schedule for Week 17 of the 2025 season has been finalized, the league announced Wednesday. The NFL previously released a list of five possible contests for a Saturday doubleheader. The two games have now been set, and it will begin with the Houston Texans visiting the Los Angeles Chargers at 4:30pm ET on the NFL Network.

The Lions have already beaten the Bears this season, and the rematch will be Week 18. If Detroit can stay within striking distance and win that game, chances are it will be in. The Lions, though, face a tough test against the Rams next Sunday on FOX at 4:25 p.m. ET.
